AUMA sets up new Executive Board to prepare for future global challenges

20 April 2026

AUMA has undergone a reorganisation at the start of 2026. With a new organisational structure and an expanded executive board, the company is strengthening its long-term viability in an increasingly complex market environment. With a new organisational structure and an expanded executive board, the company is strengthening its long-term viability in an increasingly complex market environment.

Under the leadership of Dr Jörg Hoffmann, the company’s long-standing managing director and Chief Executive Officer (CEO), the Executive Board will in future comprise four further members: Marc Schmidt, as Chief Sales Officer (CSO), leads global sales and after-sales service; Thomas von Bobrucki, as Chief Operating Officer (COO), oversees fulfilment and the supply chain; and Christoph Neubauer, as Chief Financial Officer (CFO), is responsible for finance, controlling and IT. These three long-serving AUMA executives contribute their extensive experience within the company to the new Executive Board and will now continue their successful work for AUMA within their expanded areas of responsibility.

Dr Andreas Bechle has also been appointed Chief Technology Officer (CTO) – a deliberate move to enhance the corporate expertise in R&D, innovation and product strategy. Dr Bechle has many years of comprehensive experience in international actuation and technology development. In his previous role, he held global responsibility for central drive development within the Electrified Motion division at Robert Bosch GmbH. With Dr Bechle, who started with AUMA on 1 April 2026, the new executive board is now complete and covers a vast range of functions across the organisation.

Another reason for the organisational change is the planned departure of Ferdinand Dirnhofer, who will step down from the General Management on 30 June 2026 following a transition period. “We would like to thank Ferdinand Dirnhofer for his outstanding commitment to AUMA over more than thirty years and for his significant contribution to the organisation’s successful development,” says CEO Dr Jörg Hoffmann.

With this new structure, the company aims to combine continuity with fresh impetus and lay the foundations for a rejuvenated and, as a result, stable long-term executive board. Responsibilities will be further clarified, decision-making processes deliberately streamlined, and cooperation between sales, R&D, production and service will be more closely integrated. Delivery capability, quality and innovation will be sustainably enhanced to the direct benefit of customers around the world.

After another record year in 2025, AUMA expects a steady development of the Muellheim location and continues to see significant opportunities for growth within the global group. With its new organisational structure, the company aims to tap into market potential even more systematically while continuing to drive forward its digital transformation. “AUMA is and will remain a successful company and a reliable partner for its customers worldwide,” emphasises Dr Jörg Hoffmann.

The AUMA Group has been developing electric actuators and valve gearboxes for over 60 years and is one of the global market leaders with more than 2,900 employees and 35 locations worldwide. The products are used in water management, power generation, refineries and numerous industrial applications. The company employs around 1,000 people at its Muellheim headquarters.
