AUMA co-organizes functional safety conference

AUMA is again co-organizer of the Functional Safety Copenhagen (FSCPH) conference that will take place on 3rd and 4th May 2017 in Helsingør, Denmark.

The functional safety of safety-related systems in compliance with the international standards IEC 61508 and IEC 61511 is a key topic in plant automation today. The conference offers a wide variety of presentations and workshops focusing on the different aspects of functional safety. With expert speakers from industry and renowned certification bodies, the conference provides extensive information on the latest developments as well as practical application examples. The program also allows plenty of time for networking, discussions with experts, and the exchange of experiences.

The conference is aimed at everyone involved in functional safety considerations for the design and operation of industrial plants, from plant designers and consultants to valve manufacturers and end users. For newcomers to the subject, a one-day introduction course on functional safety is offered on 2nd May 2017, before the actual conference.

The conference is organized by market-leading companies who are committed to enhancing functional safety, including AUMA. Functional safety and safety integrity levels (SIL) have been a priority for AUMA for several years; the company offers an extensive product portfolio of SIL-certified electric actuators suitable for applications up to SIL 2/3. AUMA experts regularly share their knowledge through specialist seminars and conferences dedicated to functional safety. AUMA representatives will also participate in the Functional Safety Copenhagen conference.
