Successful Functional Safety Conference

AUMA as co-organiser of the international Functional Safety Conference in Copenhagen (FSCPH) were very content with the conference which took place in Copenhagen in October 2015. Around 130 attendees could gain comprehensive knowledge in numerous specialised presentations dealing with the overall life cycle of a safety instrumented system – including risk appreciation and assessment paired with system operation and maintenance. The presentation of AUMA’s functional safety expert, Dr Jörg Isenberg, on SIL certificates, how to read them and how to identify potential misinterpretations and incorrect sizing received high approval.

“The conference was a tremendous success for AUMA”, Mr Isenberg concluded. “We could discuss many expert issues with design engineers, consultants but also with end users. Many attendees visited AUMA’s stand at the conference and inquired with interest about the showcased products including AC .2 actuators controls in SIL version as well as the FQM safe safe unit.

Besides AUMA, several leading companies in functional safety co-organised the event, among others Endress & Hauser and Siemens. The big success gives reason to reorganise this conference in 2017. Please refer towww.fscph.com for further information.
