Muellheim, 17 April, 2009

The economic crisis has developed to the central topic of the year. Nearly all industrial sectors are affected in some way, whereby the machine construction industry has to cope with large declines in sales.
All of us at AUMA believe that this crisis will soon come to an end and more than ever, we will be able to guarantee fast and reliable deliveries to our customers.

For this reason, we continue to put into practice our planned investments. Since March 2009, this includes the extension of the high bay storage at our Muellheim plant.

Irrespective of our company philosophy of lean production, the degree of service and customer satisfaction plays a major role in fulfilling the orders.

Due to the extension of the high bay storage by 1,400 storage places, we will be in a position to supply our customers respecting shortest delivery times.
Our fully automatic high bay storage will be 60 meters long and 15 meters wide.
Three shelf stacker cranes with a total height of up to 20 meters ensure fast access times to over 5,000 articles.

We plan to take up the work in the extended building by mid 2009.
